Fun in the sun!

About a month ago I had to pleasure of doing a 'couples session' for the darling couple of Sara and Zee. They have been married for a few years now but wanted some updated pictures, mostly because they have lost weight (a reason in itself!) We had a beautiful warm day at the beach and although it was crowded, we were able to find some secluded spots. Sara is a laugh a minute and Zee just looks at her like the loving husband he is (rolling his eyes at times) and goes with the flow. As you can see from these pictures and the way they glow when they look at each other, these two are so in love and I love seeing married couples like that. Thank you Sara and Zee for a wonderful day at the beach!

You can fly!

A while back my mom came out for a visit with my 2 year old niece, Elora. We decided to take her to Disneyland for her 1st visit. We had so much fun seeing all that was new to her through her beautiful brown eyes! It's so amazing how much you can 're' enjoy something when you see it through a childs eyes. She loved Dumbo and the trains the most. She also loved going fast and anything that went high and bump bump!! She is a daredevil in the making. She definitely takes after her Dad (my brother)! She also started arguing with the "cast" members and wouldn't get off the rides. We had a great time and I can't wait to take her to Disneyworld!!
I'm wishing...

She really loved the train

My favorite monkeys

A while back I had the pleasure of attending our friends child's birthday party. I was still in my very early learning stage of my camera, so most of the pictures didn't turn out right. Therefore, I apologize in advance for the quality of some of them. But here are a few of my favorites from that day. Jenna and Natalie are always the perfect models, be it if they are posing for me with beautiful smiles or if they are making faces at me. I love the little monkeys!

Little monkeys!

Once they realized I was taking their picture, they started making faces at me! (I know it's not a great quality picture, but it's too funny not to show).

Now this is Gavin, Natalie's big brother. He was so excited to be there, can you tell? I think my favorite quote from the day is from him; his dad tells him that there is a kid his age there to go play with and he says "is it a kid or a girl?" Because, as his dad explains, to an 8 year old, girls are a whole other species, like they are aliens or something LOL!

Baby Lily Rose, our new niece!

Our lives have been very busy lately. My older brother was married this month and to add to it we now have a new baby niece that was born! This little bundle of joy belongs to my husbands brother and wife. I'd like to introduce you to Lily Rose. Isn't she precious? Although, I am probably bias since I am her auntie. We are all so very excited to have another girl in the family. My husband comes from a family of 5 boys (him plus 4 brothers). Let's just say that dancing on the rooftops is an understatement when we found out this one was going to be a girl. Also, here is a picture of her very excited big brother Benji.

A day at the park

Last week I had the pleasure of taking some portraits of Amber age 13, Austin age 9 and Alyssa age 4 at a park located close to their home. We couldn't have asked for a nicer day. I had so much fun following them around and catching their beautiful smiles. The oldest 2 were a little shy, but Alyssa was my little model, every time I turned around she was posing for me. Thanks you 3 for a wonderful day! I hope you love these pictures as much as I loved taking them for you!

California the Beautiful Part 3

On our last day of our trip we continued up the coast to Santa Cruz. On the way we passed the famous Big Creek Bridge close to the Big Sur area. Santa Cruz is a cute little beach side town. We decided to walk around the pier and boardwalk. It is such a beautiful and fun area to spend the day. Despite it being freezing cold outside, the beach was packed! We had a great time walking around the boardwalk then walking up the pier to eat some fish and chips. What a great trip this was and I hope I will be able to do it again someday!

Back in Town

First off I wanted to apologize to any of you who have been emailing me, as I was out of town since Friday. I am catching up on my emails now and if you haven't rec'd a response you will by the end of the day today.

We went to the "Fabulous Las Vegas" and had a blast! I really needed this vacation and it was nice to get away from things!

In celebration of my "fabulous" vacation I am running a special; $50 photo sessions. This includes anything from engagement pictures to family portraits (sorry weddings do not apply). Please email me if you are interested.

I will finish posting pictures from our CA coast trip this week and try to get up pictures from Vegas up soon. Stay tuned as I have a ton of great pictures to show you!

California the Beautiful Part 2

Day 2: Morning - We stopped at the famous Madonna Inn. We didn’t stay there, but we did go into the lobby to check things out. If you don’t know about this hotel, it is famous because each room has a different theme. Outside the architecture was in a beautiful Victorian style, inside the architecture was pretty gaudy. It was still decorated for Valentines Day and had huge hearts hanging everywhere. However, it did have a beautiful fireplace and stained glass windows; that is pretty much all I liked about the place.

Here is a picture of the outside from the parking lot, unfortunately there are cars in the way, but it is still a beautiful picture of the back part of the hotel.

Here are some pictures of the inside of the lobby, including the famous “cave bathroom” that was on the “top 10 best bathrooms” on the travel channel. It is a men’s bathroom, so I had to sneak in there really quick to snap some shots!

Here is a picture outside the hotel looking towards the beautiful hills.

Afterwards, we drove up the coast a little further to Morro Bay. All I can say is BEAUTIFUL! It’s a darling little seaside town and is famous for its huge rock in the bay. The waves were huge that day, probably over 20 feet or so!! They were breaking over the breakwater and it was such an amazing sight to see. We also saw a sea otter in the harbor, but the little guy was too quick and I couldn’t get a good picture of him. The one I did get, he looks like a log in the water! But it is really him, I promise!
